“Ageing ‘PEACE’fully” represents the latest contribution by a dedicated group of researchers committed to examining legal issues affecting older persons in Malaysia, particularly in light of the country’s transition toward an ageing nation by 2030. Building on their previous work, which includes two edited volumes published since 2017, this book continues the group’s efforts to discuss various legal issues concerning older persons. This book focuses on several critical areas, including social security, family matters, abuse and neglect, social life, health, and infrastructure. In addition to these concerns, the book also delves into fundamental legal issues at both the domestic and international levels, thereby offering a comprehensive exploration of the rights and challenges facing Malaysia’s older population. By addressing a broad spectrum of topics, “Ageing ‘PEACE’fully” aims to provide readers with a holistic and deeper understanding of matters related to older persons and the law in Malaysia. It is hoped that this work will contribute meaningfully to public discourse and continue to attract the attention of policymakers, practitioners, academics, and other stakeholders involved in shaping a more inclusivea and protective environment for older persons.
