This book addresses two important issues in language testing: the construction and the validation of a test. To start with, this book discusses trends in language testing, the validity and the reliability of a test which are the primary issues of constructing a good test. The pre-testing and the pilot survey conducted by the author in three different countries (United Kingdom, Jordan and Malaysia) are discussed in depth in this book.
The second part of the book discusses analysis of test items which includeds construct validity. To give a clear picture of this presentation, the author uses diagrams, histograms, and scatter plot in the writing of this book.
