Criminal Procedure in Malaysia

SIGNIFICANT amendments to relevant legislation and an active judiciary have made this third edition imperative. Amendments to the Courts of Judicature Act 1964 (Acts A960 and A1031) and Criminal Procedure Code (Acts A979 and A1015), and enforcement of the Anti Corruption Act 1997 (Act 575) have somewhat altered the law of criminal procedure in the relevant areas. The general format of this edition is similar to those of previous editions. Some interesting decisions from Singapore have been included as well. Although this compilation and discussion of the law on criminal procedure in Malaysia is meant for law students in the undergraduate and Certificate in Legal Practice programmes, law practitioners, member of the Bench, Royal Malaysia Police, Royal Customs and Excise, and the Prisons Department will find it useful, as was the case with the first and second editions.
