The Faculty of Languages and Linguistics, Universiti
Malaya celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2022. There is
no better story to symbolise the wisdom and sagacity of
education over physical prowess than the Malay fable of
the Mousedeer and the Crocodiles!


This anthology illustrates the humorous Malay narrative
of the story of Sang Kancil and the Crocodiles in 100
languages. Oral origins guided the translators into an
exciting expression within their own different cultures.
